Shockwave to host series by South Park creators
(IDG) -- South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker will develop a series of original animated shorts for Web site Shockwave.com, the site announced.
The series of 39 original animated shorts will be broadcast on the Macromedia affiliated Web site beginning in March 2000. The cartoons will be between two minutes and five minutes in length and based on Macromedia's Flash format, the company says.
The series will be available for free on the site, which already offers segments of the duo's popular and controversial Comedy Central series, South Park.
The Shockwave.com site was designed to deliver customizable online entertainment to Internet users, based on the popular Web browser plug-in, Macromedia says.
