Transcript of Columbine Internet threat

December 17, 1999
Web posted at: 5:25 p.m. EST (2225 GMT)

LITTLETON, Colorado (CNN) -- The following is a transcript of the threat delivered over the Internet to a 16-year-old Columbine student:

Soup81: Listen, I can't tell you who I am because you know me.
Soup81: Do me a favor, don't go to school tomorrow.

Student: Why?

Soup81: Please, I trust in you and confide in you.

Student: I have to go. I can't miss school.

Soup81: I need to finish what (sic) begun and if you go I don't want your blood on my hands.

Student: Please don't do this. You are really scaring me.

Soup81: There is nothing to be scared about, just don't go to school and don't tell anyone. If anyone finds out, you'll be the first to go.

Student: Please don't do this.

Soup81: Time magazine has brought more chaos and I need to strengthen this.
Soup81: This is what they wanted and people need to know what is really going on here
Soup81: Don't go to school.

Student: What am I going to tell my parents when they wonder why I didn't go to school?

Soup81: Pretend you're sick!
Soup81: But don't tell anyone because you and only one person knows now. I had to tell someone before the big day.

Student: What if my parents won't let me stay home because it is finals? ... What am I going to do?

Soup81: What's more important? Finals that are obscure and are fake to the peers around you or your soul intact with your shell?
Soup81: I think life is more important, don't you?

Student: Yes.
Student: Well, what about my two best friends?

Soup81: It was nice to know you. I only wish I could tell you who I really was and to let you know how much I liked you.
Soup81: But I'm a nobody, and soon, everyone will know who I am.

Student: Please don't do this. You are really scaring me.

Soup81: Goodbye. Good to evil and evil to good

Student: How do you know you are a nobody?
Student: No, please stay, talk to me. I don't get why you are doing this.
