CNN's HARRISONBURG, Virginia (CNN) -- The small Virginia town of Harrisonburg enters the new millennium as a place vastly changed from the Shenandoah Valley village founded more than two centuries ago.
But whatever the future brings, this and other such places will long be part of America's rural heritage -- where manners, character, work ethic and concern for others still have meaning.
