California ballot issue over gay marriage could impact presidential race

SAN FRANCISCO (CNN) -- In just seven weeks, California voters will cast their presidential primary ballots and along with voting
for presidential candidates, voters will decide another ballot issue that could affect the lives of many gay citizens.
CNN's Rusty Dornin reports that when campaigning in California begins in earnest, the presidential hopefuls may have to address the
ballot initiative that would ban the state from recognizing gay marriages.
