WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Texas Gov. George W. Bush has touted an ambitious and controversial education agenda as the cornerstone of his national campaign. Bush supports school vouchers, charter schools, tax-free education savings accounts, increased mandatory student testing and increasing accountability among teachers.
Democrats claim the Bush plan does little to improve public schools, while some conservatives have charged that Texas governor intends to actually bolster the federal government's role in education. CNN's Pat Neal takes a look.
