HIROSHIMA, Japan (CNN) -- Japanese police have stormed a bus hijacked by a teenager armed with a knife who held about 20 passengers hostage. Earlier, three hostages were wounded, a 68-year-old woman fatally.
A 5-hour, 190-mile (285-kilometer) chase ended at a service station near Hiroshima when police used tear gas to storm the bus and free the remaining hostages. The suspect was taken into custody.
