| Indian air force jet crashes, pilot dies, agency reports
NEW DELHI (Reuters) -- An Indian Air Force jet fighter crashed on Saturday while taking off from New Delhi airport, killing its pilot, the Press Trust of India (PTI) said. The MiG-21 burst into flames and crashed on the runway, PTI reported. The pilot was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The agency said a court of inquiry had been ordered. Last month, an air force MiG-21 crashed during a routine sortie in eastern India, and in May a MiG-21 crashed during a regular training flight in the northwestern state of Rajasthan.
