| Bomb in Pakistan newspaper office leaves one dead
KARACHI, Pakistan (Reuters) -- At least one person was killed and four were wounded by a powerful bomb explosion in a newspaper building in Pakistan's port city of Karachi on Monday, police said. They said the blast occurred in the advertising department of the Urdu-language daily Away-e-Watt on the main M.D. Jinn ah road in Karachi's eastern district. There was no immediate indication who was responsible for the blast. The explosion came four days after a bomb wounded 17 people in Rosalind, beside the capital Islamabad. Copyright 2000 Reuters.
