Coffee bars make splash in tea countryHYDERABAD, India -- You won't find a nice cuppa at Qwiky's, unless you're looking for the latest coffee blend. "On our menu, we have around 30 varieties (which) we can serve you straight off the shelf, and about 101 varieties which we can make as coffee cocktails for you," said Edwin Paul, general manager at Qwiky's Coffee Pub. "It's different flavorings that we use, but then if you mix-and-match, the permutations are almost infinite." Hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, cherry, blueberry, caramel, strawberry, almond and peach are just a few of the flavored syrups used at the pub, which has drawn a steady stream of customers. "Definitely, there is a difference," noted caffeine connoisseur Ramanna Reddy. "I think people are variety starved." In that case, a visit to Qwiky's might be just the thing. In addition to coffee, customers can buy MTV (music television) and Hallmark products. Just don't ask for Earl Grey.
