FBI will name keyboardist Rosser to 10 Most Wanted listWASHINGTON (CNN) -- Musician Eric Franklin Rosser will be named to the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list Wednesday, FBI spokesman Bill Carter told CNN.
Attorney General Janet Reno and Assistant FBI Director Ruben Garcia, Jr. will make the announcement at 11 a.m., Carter said on Tuesday. Rosser, a former keyboard player for rock singer John Mellencamp (formerly John Cougar), is wanted in connection with the international production, collection and distribution of child pornography, according to a fugitive information page on the FBI's Web site. It said that Rosser was an admitted pedophile and was last known to be living in Bangkok, Thailand, where he ran a music school for children. Rosser, 48, was indicted by a federal grand jury in March on multiple counts of child pornography charges, stemming from his alleged molestation of several young girls. The FBI site said Rosser failed to appear for a scheduled court appearance in Thailand in April, and is being sought by American and Thai authorities. Rosser played the keyboard on Mellencamp's 1980 "Nothin' Matters and What If It Did" album. A spokesman for Hoffman Entertainment, which represents Mellencamp, was not immediately available for comment.
