KANGAROO ISLAND, Australia (CNN) -- Off the coast of South Australia, Kangaroo Island is the country's third largest island, with a landscape that consists of tiny towns, farms and forests.

But it's the island's animal life that attracts most visitors. Kangaroo Island is also where many Australians go to experience their own wildlife.

Join CNN Travel Correspondent Carolyn O'Neil as she tours the island, finding sea lions that surf, echidnas that mug for cameras and kangaroos that can't resist eating her notes.
