Brad Pitt regains 'Sexiest Man Alive' crown

graphic

LOS ANGELES, California -- Jennifer Aniston may have taken Brad Pitt off the market, but that hasn't stopped People magazine from drooling over the Hollywood heartthrob.

The magazine has anointed the 36-year-old actor the "Sexiest Man Alive" ... again. Pitt won the crown for the first time in 1995; he's the only two-time winner since the magazine began its annual "Sexiest Man" tradition in 1985.

The editors at People felt his marriage to Jennifer Aniston this summer only increased his sex appeal, making him "a poster boy for manhood in the new millennium."

Pitt is in fine company this year: John Mellencamp, author Nicholas Sparks and "Survivor" contestant, Rudy Boesch all made the cut.

The special double issue hits newsstands Friday.

People magazine is published by Time Warner, which is the parent company of CNN.
