ABC tunes into Radio Music Awards

LOS ANGELES, California -- The Radio Music Awards are switching to ABC from the WB. The network has dibs to air the ceremony live November 4, from the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas beginning at 9 p.m. EST.

The Radio Music Awards recognize artists and radio personalities in Top 40/pop, pop alternative, hip-hop/rhythmic, alternative/rock and country categories. Other categories include: most requested artist, most requested song, most requested party song and most requested slow dance song. Radio monitoring company Mediabase 24/7 determines the nominees.

Among the artists slated to perform are Eminem, Dr. Dre, Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias, No Doubt and 98 Degrees. ABC is counting on those names to drum up ratings on the first Saturday of November sweeps.
