LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Reuters) -- Dr. Dre walked away with the evening's top prize, the Legend Award, at the second annual Radio Music Awards from Las Vegas' Aladdin Resort on Saturday night.

Dre, 35, said, "It feels incredible. It's party time! I am only half way through my career."

The three-hour kudocast recognized the influence of radio on an artist's career.

Other top winners were the groups Creed and 'N Sync, each with two awards. Creed won artist of the year, and its "With Arms Wide Open" took song of the year, both in the alternative/active rock category. 'N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" won song of the year, and the group took artist of the year in the top 40/pop category.

The program was hosted by the Backstreet Boys, Sisqo and Mark McGrath. A total of 16 awards were presented to recording artists and radio personalities.

After comical cameos by magicians Siegfried & Roy and by Wayne Newton, the show kicked into high gear with a performance by Enrique Iglesias. Among other performers were Christine Aguilera, BBMak, Everclear, Nelly and Jo Dee Messina. Britney Spears sang live via satellite from Europe. The Dixie Chicks' "Cowboy Take Me Away" and Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want" took song of the year nods in the country and pop alternative categories, respectively.

Most requested song of the year was 98 Degrees' "Give Me Just One Night," while Ricky Martin won most requested artist of the year. Sisqo's "Thong Song" took honors for radio party song of the year.
