Orbit, MirwaisThe creative forces behind Madonna's 'Music'
(CNN) -- If Madonna influences so many artists, what influences her? European music, she says. So it may seem appropriate that she chose Britain's William Orbit and France's Mirwais Ahmadzai to help her produce "Music." "I have to work with people that I find exciting," Madonna said. "I like to find somebody who's a little bit more avant-garde." The technology-savvy Orbit helped Madonna on her Grammy-winning album "Ray of Light" (1998), helping establish her dance-music credentials. She found Mirwais after hearing a demo tape of his club music. He has what he calls a "new vision of disco" that's overtaking Paris.
"French people got it going on right now," Madonna said. "There are influences of French music from the '60s and '70s on the album." CNN WorldBeat Correspondent Sham Ambiavagar asked Orbit and Mirwais about their visions for "Music." Click here to watch the report.
