Voters cast last-minute ballots for VH1 Awards

(CNN) -- Music fans have only hours to vote online in the "My VH1 Music Awards." The ceremony is scheduled to begin Thursday at 9 p.m. EST, with actor John Leguizamo hosting.

U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creed, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, No Doubt and Metallica are slated to perform. Viewers can even choose what song they want Metallica to play by voting on www.vh1.com.

Don't expect your usual "best-of" categories. Instead, look for:

"Your Song Kicked Ass But Was Played Too Damn Much"

  • Santana, "Smooth"

  • Creed, "Higher"

  • Macy Gray, "I Try"

  • Vertical Horizon, "Everything You Want"

  • Nine Days, "Absolutely (Story Of A Girl)"

"Most Entertaining Public Feud"

  • Diana Ross versus The Real Supremes

  • Metallica versus Napster

  • Whitney Houston versus Honolulu Airport Security

  • Eminem versus Everyone

  • 'N Sync versus Lou Pearlman

And Sexxxiest Video

  • Sisqo, "Thong Song"

  • Faith Hill, "Breathe"

  • Jennifer Lopez, "Waiting For Tonight"

  • Enrique Iglesias, "Be With You"

  • D'Angelo, "Untitled"

Viewers can watch the show on TV or over the Internet. The VH1 site is featuring Web cams that show red-carpet arrivals, stage acts and press-room activity.
