LONDON, England -- There's one more passenger on Kate Winslet's lifeboat. The star of "Titanic" gave birth to daughter Mia at a London hospital Thursday.

Mia, who weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces, is the first child for 25-year-old Winslet and her husband, Jim Threapleton.

The choice of the name Mia was spur of the moment, says Winslet's agent, Robert Garlock. "Kate and Jim had drawn up a list of 10 names, but when the baby was born none of them seemed right," he said. "Then 'Mia' came to them, and it seemed just right."

The couple married in 1998, one year after meeting on the set of the film "Hideous Kinky," in which Winslet starred and Threapleton, 26, served as assistant director.

Winslet spent the summer working on "Enigma," a film about World War II code-breakers, and is reportedly planning to take a seven-month break to spend time with her new family.

Jane Fonda gave an Atlanta hospital $1.3 million for adolescent health services

ATLANTA, Georgia -- Actress and activist Jane Fonda has given $1.3 million to an Atlanta hospital for a program teaching adolescents to take care of their reproductive health.

The gift to Grady Health System's Adolescent Reproductive Health Service should ensure that the city has a "state-of-the-art" adolescent health service, Fonda said in a statement Friday.

The health system will use the money to consolidate reproductive health services at one hospital site, and to expand classes to include young men as well as young women, Grady officials said.

Fonda, who has lived in Atlanta for 10 years, has been a vocal advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy in Georgia. In 1995, she founded the nonprofit Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention.

The two-hour singing and dancing special, which finished shooting Friday, was a family affair -- it was co-written by Carrie Fisher, daughter of Reynolds and ex- stepdaughter of Taylor. Collins was once engaged to MacLaine's brother, Warren Beatty, and MacLaine played the screen mother in Fisher's autobiographical movie, "Postcards from the Edge" (1990).

Taylor and Reynolds appeared to have forgiven that nasty little husband-stealing incident of four decades past, say executives who put together the special. They were "very, very kind and solicitous of each other" on the set, said Ilene Berg, an executive producer.

"It was really, really fun making it," Berg said. "They were amazing. I couldn't stop watching them. They're feisty, fabulous, sexy, talented and indefatigable."

NEW YORK -- "Jackie Chan Adventures" is alive and kicking and coming back for a second season on Kids! WB.

The network ordered an additional 13 original episodes of the animated series from Sony Pictures Family Entertainment Group, ensuring a second season next fall.

The series premiered September 9, and since then has clinched the top stop in its time period among the broadcast networks in key kid demographics, statistics show.
