Sandra Bullock unhurt after plane mishap

JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming -- A small private plane carrying actress Sandra Bullock and three other people skidded off the runway while landing at the Jackson Hole airport Wednesday morning, says Bullock's publicist, Pat Kingsley.

Kingsley said none of the four people on board required medical attention, but that the plane was damaged.

Bullock, 36, can be seen in the movie "Miss Congeniality," which opens in theaters Friday.



Actor Johnny Galecki bags Fox comedy show

HOLLYWOOD, California -- It's the "Bagtime" for actor Johnny Galecki, who's best-known for his role as Darlene's boyfriend on the sitcom "Roseanne."

Galecki will star in and produce the half-hour Fox comedy pilot about a grocery store clerk who dreams of becoming a concert cellist. "Bagtime" is loosely based on a 1977 book about a Chicago grocery store bagger and his adventures around the city.

Galecki recently appeared in "Bounce," with Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck. His other film credits include, "The Opposite of Sex" (1998) and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997).



Actress Brooke Langton, all grown up

HOLLYWOOD, California -- Brooke Langton, who played Keanu Reeves' girlfriend in "The Replacements," is growing on Fox. Langton has signed on to star in a romantic comedy series for the network. It's tentatively titled "When I Grow Up."

Langton plays a married twentysomething whose life is turned upside down after her husband finds out she's been cheating on him. Her character ends up working for a firm called "Tempt-a-Mate," with the man with whom she had the affair.

Langton's film credits include, "Swingers" (1996) and the independent "Mixed Signals" (1997). She also starred on the TV series "Melrose Place" for two seasons.



'Resurrection Blvd.' lives again on Showtime

NEW YORK -- "Resurrection Blvd.," Showtime's Latino drama series, has gotten a new life on the cable channel. Showtime has renewed the hour-long series, which is the first to feature a predominately Latino cast and crew.

Although the show's ratings are down dramatically since it premiered in June, the network has been praised for focusing on Hispanic-American culture.

Showtime's new season kicks off next summer.
