Versace's Miami mansion sells for $23 million
(ELLE.com) The latest business and real estate news among
the glitterati is the sale of the late Gianni Versace's Miami mansion for $23 million. When the designer was murdered in front of the palatial estate three years ago, the fashion world mourned one of its most
prominent designers. Versaces extravagantly decorated home not
only reflected his ornate and fabulously over-the-top style, but was
also the backdrop for some of fashions glitziest parties and
photo shoots. Bought by 43-year-old Peter Loftin, the Versace sale
outstrips Miamis previous record set by the sale of Sylvester
Stallones $16.2 million home.
Claudia in Cyberspace
Even among supermodels, cyberspace is chic. Ubermodel Claudia
Schiffer is the latest hi-priced beauty to trot online, set to launch
www.claudiaschiffer.com in June. Selling travel accessories, T-shirts
and mobile phones, the website will also feature a sneak peek into
the supermodels life, with a weekly journal and snapshots taken
by Claudia herself. Besides selling goods, the website will also feature
advice on everything from beauty to nutrition. Aside from this new
internet venture, the 30-year-old Schiffer still rakes it in from
ad campaigns and the occasional runway appearance, keeping her one
of the top-paid models in the industry.
