"The Millennium Star" was the centerpiece of the show, which took place during haute couture week in the French capital. At 203 carats, the stone is the largest flawless, pearl-shaped diamond known in existence.
Competing for attention were 29 award-winning designers from around the world, including Mexican jeweler Sergio Berger. His necklace "The Waterfall" features a cascade of 22,000 diamonds.
CNN Paris Bureau Chief Peter Humi contributed to this report.
