Designers go hip-hop hurray

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Altoids can help your breath smell minty fresh, but what about the rest of you?

Try UFO's Sniff Me pants, peppermint-scented baggy, nylon cargo pants that were all the rage in hip-hop style at Vibestyle, a trade show that focuses on what the cool kids are wearing these days. Rub the fabric, say designers, and you get a quick whiff of peppermint.

Besides smelly legwear, trendy apparel included jackets designed to accommodate portable CD players, outerwear made of basketball material and mink halter tops with mink boot-trim jeans.

CNN's Jeanne Moos hopped by to see what's hip.
