Donna Karan joins eLuxury.com

(FASHION WIRE DAILY) -- A new designer has been added to the mix on LVMH's luxury e-commerce site eLuxury.com.

The site announced on Tuesday the opening of its Donna Karan New York store, a virtual boutique offering the designer's Resort 2000 collection for men and women.

Donna Karan is the latest addition to eLuxury's selection of high-end brands, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Bulgari, Christian Dior and Michael Kors.

The brand is part of eLuxury's redesign, which began three months after the site went live in September, to convey a younger attitude and expand product assortment.

Women can find pants, jackets, jerseys and skirts in leather and cashmere from the Donna Karan Resort collection. And men will be able to find cashmere sweaters, hand-tailored jackets, trousers, tuxedos and coats.

By inking a deal with eLuxury, Donna Karan International is making its biggest push to date on the Internet. The company's current Web site, http://www.donnakaran.com, offers only store locations and investor-relations information.
