CNN's Ann Kellan explains the invention.(CNN) -- Imagine a stereo speaker that can shoot a beam of sound like a spotlight.
A researcher at MIT has designed a device that does just that. CNN science correspondent Ann Kellan reports that it could one day tone down the noise at a number of airports and other public places.
