Interplay PC games Mac-bound
|
(IDG) -- MacPlay, has announced plans to port three PC titles from Interplay to the Mac.
MacPlay will publish Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Sacrifice and Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires at War in 2001. The MacPlay brand was licensed from PC gaming giant Interplay by United Developers last week. MacPlay will focus on porting games from Interplay's PC-gaming catalogue to the Mac, as well as releasing its own original titles.
MacPlay CEO Ron Dimant said: "This is only the beginning. We're very pleased to announce the first part of our 2001 lineup. These games will look and sound great on Apple hardware, and should be in high demand among those who 'Think Different'."

Space cadets
Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires at War is a space battle simulator set in the Star Trek universe, where players can choose to command a variety of ship types including Starfleet, Klingon or Mirak Star League.
Giants: Citizen Kabuto is a single and multiplayer realtime 3D-adventure game in which players battle to dominate a 30-island chain.
Sacrifice is a real-time strategy game, where players become powerful wizards who must appease one of five gods, using armies, magic and battlefield strategies.
