FLORENCE, Italy (CNN) -- Tuscany, a region of Western Italy, has inspired travelers, authors and artists for centuries. Famous for its Chianti wine, the area is also noted for flowing green landscapes and friendly people.
Avid readers may be familiar with Tuscany thanks to Frances Mayes, who painted a beautiful word portrait of the region in "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Bella Tuscany." The popularity of those two books has led to increased tourism in Tuscany as visitors yearn to restore their souls, seeking the simple pleasures of Italian living.
Join CNN Travel Now on Saturday, March 18 at 6:30am and 11am (ET) to learn more about Tuscany. Travel Now, CNN's weekly feature program focusing on destinations and cuisine, will be covering Italy for the next three weeks.
Below, you will find resources highlighted in the show and other useful information to help you plan your trip to Tuscany.
