Delta, Continental named for new Argentina flights
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- The U.S. government Tuesday said it had tentatively selected Delta Air Lines and Continental Airlines to provide new air service to Argentina.
Each airline would be granted seven weekly return flights, Delta serving Buenos Aires from Atlanta and Continental from Newark, New Jersey.
The U.S. Department of Transportation said any objections to its proposal must be filed within seven days.
Expanded service to Argentina follows an agreement reached November 24 between the two countries on additional passenger flights.
American Airlines and United Airlines already serve Argentina with three flights a day
each.
