ROCKY MOUNT, North Carolina (CNN) -- Four months after Hurricane Floyd devastated portions of eastern North Carolina, thousands of people still live in government-provided trailers, unsure when -- or if -- they'll ever be able to return to their homes.

Still, things could be worse, says Vivian King, a mother of three.
