| Murder suspect holds hostages in OrlandoORLANDO (CNN) -- A gunman suspected of killing another man during a convenience store robbery Friday held at least four hostages -- including a 10-month-old baby -- in a home Saturday afternoon. Police surrounded the Meadow Woods neighborhood and evacuated residents next to the house suspect Jamie Petron entered around 2 p.m. EDT, armed with at least a handgun. Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said Petron had shot and wounded one of his deputies in Saturday's confrontation. Petron is a suspect in the slaying of Jorge Trillos, 22, during a Pompano Beach convenience store robbery on Friday. Trillos' boss, Samir Hantash, 48, was seriously wounded. "We're dealing with somebody that's demonstrated he's very violent," Beary said, adding that Petron had served time in jail for the attempted murder of a Leon County sheriff's deputy in 1985. "It's a very tense situation," Beary said. Beary said officials were negotiating with the suspect. Younger children in the house were allowed to eat, Beary said.
