Students, teachers learn from life
ROCKVILLE, Maryland (CNN) -- Reading, writing and arithmetic are not all that's being taught at Flower Valley Elementary School, where minorities account for more than a quarter of the student body. Teachers learn about their students by taking bus rides through their neighborhoods. And students learn about character and settling arguments calmly.
