From CNN's Susan Candiotti
MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Eight survivors of a crashed Cuban plane were being transferred Wednesday evening to a U.S. Coast Guard cutter from the ship they've been on since Tuesday, and will be brought to Key West, Coast Guard officials said.
The transfer began shortly after 8 p.m. The survivors -- five adults and three children -- were being ferried on inflatable boats from the Panamanian-registered Chios Dream to the Coast Guard cutter Nantucket and are expected to arrive at the Coast Guard base in Key West, Florida, around 10 p.m., Lt. Cmdr. Ron LaBreck said.
