| Nigerian military plane crashes, six hurtWARRI, Nigeria (Reuters) -- A Nigerian air force training aircraft crashed into thick bush near the Niger Delta on Thursday, seriously injuring its six occupants, witnesses said. The Dornier-8 aircraft with five officers and one rating on board was on a training flight when it crashed at Jedo village, some 300 meters from the southern Warri oil refinery. "We saw the plane coming down, and all of a sudden there was a loud noise. We went near and saw the airforce men trapped inside the plane," one villager said. The men were taken to a Shell clinic in Warri. The crash took place some five km (three miles) from Shell's Osubi airstrip. Security agents cordoned off the accident scene. Copyright 2000 Reuters.
