The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. (1030 GMT) about 22 miles (35 km) south of the city of Cordoba. "The numbers we're working with now are 11 dead and 12 seriously wounded," a police spokesman said. According to eyewitnesses, a bus travelling north from the Patagonian city of Rawson moved out of its lane and slammed into a bus heading south from Cordoba, shredding half of its side.
