| Five missing as German plane 'crashes'ZURICH (Reuters) -- Fears are growing for the welfare of five people on board a light plane from Germany which is feared to have crashed in Switzerland. The Cessna disappeared from radar screens shortly before 2100 local time (1900 GMT) on Monday night as it returned from Italy, said police in Glarus, a town in central Switzerland near the scene of the search. Swiss authorities have sent two helicopters over the Alps to search for the aircraft. The private plane had left Albegna in Italy and was headed for Stuttgart. Poor visibility had prevented rescue crews from launching a search on Monday night. Copyright 2000 Reuters. All rights reserved.
