Thirty injured as Paris underground train derails

PARIS (Reuters) -- A Paris underground train derailed on Wednesday and first reports said some 30 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, French emergency services said.

They said the front car ended up on its side at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette station in the center of the French capital. There was no collision with any other train, Paris transport authorities said.

The accident occurred at 1.22 p.m. local time (1422 GMT) and rescuers went to the scene. No further details were immediately available.
