| Duchess of York's former aide arrested
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- British police have arrested the Duchess of York's former personal assistant, Jane Andrews, after her boyfriend was found murdered. Andrews, who had not been seen since Sunday, was tracked down by police to Cornwall, south-west England, and arrested there early on Wednesday. "A woman in her early 30s was arrested at 6.45 this morning (0545 GMT) in connection with the murder of Thomas Cressman," a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said. Police found Cressman stabbed to death in his south-west London home on Monday. Andrews worked for Sarah Ferguson for nine years up until 1997. Ferguson, nicknamed "Fergie" by British tabloids, was ostracised from the Royal family after her divorce from Prince Andrew in 1996. The Duchess appeared in public opening a visitor's centre at the Wedgwood china factory in Stoke-on-Trent in the English Midlands on Tuesday. She told reporters she was "deeply, deeply overwhelmed and very, very shocked" by the news of Cressman's death. Copyright 2000 Reuters. All rights reserved.
