| Five killed in UK plane crash
LONDON, England -- Five people were killed when a light aircraft crashed into an industrial estate in Hampshire, southern England, shortly after takeoff Hampshire police said the twin-engine Beech 200 plane was on its way to Majorca but came down soon after taking off from Blackbushe airport near Yateley, about 65 kilometres (40 miles) west of London. The 14-seater crashed into an industrial estate belonging to a rubber supply company, killing two pilots and all three passengers. No one on the ground was hurt, but it took firefighters using seven fire engines over an hour to douse the blaze caused by the plane's impact at the Blackbushe Business Park. "The plane was fully fuelled and had just taken off," a Hampshire Fire Brigade firefighter said. "It was a scene of devastation obviously ... The plane crashed straight into the front of the industrial unit." A nearby pub, The Anchor, was evacuated shortly after the incident. Reuters contributed to this report.
