| Dutchmen charged on ecstasy smugglingGOTHENBURG, Sweden -- Two men from the Netherlands were charged on Wednesday on suspicion of bringing 25 kilogrammes of ecstasy pills into the country earlier this year. The pills were discovered by customs officers in February, during the country's largest anti-ecstasy operation to date. According to the charge, one of the defendants was part of a larger network of drug traffickers in the Netherlands. He was said to be the mastermind of the failed smuggling operation. The other defendant is a truck driver working for a flower transport company. He was apparently offered $7,500 for taking the box of ecstasy pills to Sweden. Swedish press rules mean that the identities of the two Dutchmen, aged 47 and 54, cannot be disclosed. RELATED SITE: CNN Sweden | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
