| Denmark criticised over discriminationCOPENHAGEN, Denmark -- The United Nations Human Rights Commission has criticised Denmark over discrimination, particularly against ethnic minorities, the newspaper Aktuelt reports. It claims the government has been asked to take action. The commission said it is unacceptable that people from ethnic minorities are routinely denied entrance to many restaurants and night clubs in Denmark. It also complained that women are discriminated against in industry and it has asked the Danish government to reconsider the widespread use of solitary confinement for prisoners. Denmark's ambassador to the commission, Tyge Lehman, said he is not worried about the harsh comments on what he feels are minor problems. RELATED SITES: U.N.
