| Two men jailed over Sweden's biggest ecstasy caseGOTHENBURG, Sweden (CNN) -- Two men from the Netherlands have been jailed for 10 and 12 years in the biggest ever case of ecstasy smuggling in Sweden's history. The men were found guilty by a court in Gothenburg on Wednesday of bringing more than 100,000 ecstasy tablets into the country. The Swedish news agency TT said the drugs would have been worth around 25 million krona ($2.5 million) on the street. "The sentences were long in Swedish terms. But a lot of drugs were involved in the affair," the prosecutor, Thomas Ahlstrand, told CNN Sverige. He said the smugglers have to serve some time in jails in Sweden before they can be transferred to the Netherlands to finish their terms. The two men, aged 47 and 55, were arrested in Gothenburg in February. The younger man was earlier described as the mastermind of the failed operation. The other was a truck driver who brought the pills from the Netherlands to Sweden. The court also found them guilty of a similar smuggling offence which took place in 1999 and decided that both men should be expelled from Sweden.
