From White House Correspondent Kelly Wallace

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. President Clinton is not scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat during the upcoming World Economic Forum in Switzerland, an administration official said.

On Sunday, Palestinian Planning Minister Nabil Shaath reportedly said that the three leaders would meet in Davos, Switzerland, on January 29 to try to push Middle East peace negotiations along.

"We don't have anything scheduled," said Jennifer Palmieri, a White House spokeswoman.

The Palestinians and the Israelis are working to meet a February 13 deadline for a framework for a comprehensive peace agreement.

On Thursday, Clinton met with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at the White House.

At the beginning of that meeting, Clinton said he is convinced both sides want a lasting peace, and that he will do whatever he can to achieve that.
