| 'The Eyebrow'Browsing the evolution of eyebrow fashion![]() ![]()
(CNN) -- For centuries, women and men have been shaping and reshaping eyebrow fashion with the help of tweezers, wax and paint. Makeup artist Robyn Cosio penned and penciled "The Eyebrow" (HarperCollins) to show the rise and fall of arches, angles and curves, beginning in ancient Egypt. Cosio devotes much of the book to the 20th century, examining the thin, stylized brows of the 1930s; the Diva Arch of the '50s; the tadpole brow of the '70s; and the somewhat fuller, more natural-looking brow of the '80s. The book features dozens of photos of celebrities -- Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and Groucho Marx among them. And Cosio includes tips on how to create brows that wow. CNN's Jeanne Moos dropped by New York's Peter Coppola Salon to "browbeat" the author. RELATED SITE: HarperCollins | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
