L.A. has changed greatly since last mayor electedLOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Los Angeles will vote on April 10 to pick a successor to Mayor Richard Riordan, who has held office since 1993.
Term limits prevent the Republican businessman from running for a third term. The six major candidates running for the office -- five men and one woman -- will have to harness the two emerging power centers of 21st century Los Angeles: Latinos and organized labor.
