Former Illinois congressman Annunzio diesCHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) -- Frank Annunzio, a former Democratic congressman from Illinois, died Sunday morning, a spokesman said. Annunzio, 85, had Parkinson's disease, said Dominic DiFrisco, a friend and former aide. He died at home with family members present. First elected in 1964, Annunzio served in the U.S. House of Representatives and represented the Chicago area until his retirement in 1993. "He was a friend of mine, and he was certainly a friend to all people who valued justice," DiFrisco said. Annunzio made his mark in Congress as chairman of a House subcommittee on consumer affairs. A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday. He is survived by three daughters and several grandchildren. RELATED SITES:
