San Antonio mayor eyed as rising starSAN ANTONIO, Texas (CNN) -- Just a few months into his first mayoral term, the political machine is already hyping the future of Ed Garza.
Garza, a 32-year-old Democrat, is San Antonio's second Hispanic mayor. Its first, Henry Cisneros, became a Cabinet secretary under President Clinton, and Cisneros says Garza has the political skills and temperament "to go a long way in American politics." The soft-spoken Garza, who has been involved in politics since childhood, says he is not thinking that far ahead yet. CNN's Ed Lavandera looks at the mayor being touted as a rising star. |
