WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As Bill Clinton prepares to leave office, the jury is still out on many aspects of his legacy. But there is one thing just about everyone agrees on: Bill Clinton was a masterful campaigner with a gift for connecting with his audience.

That gift was on display this week as Clinton thanked some of the people who played a pivotal role in his success. Here are some excerpts from a week of speeches.
