Miami mayor questioned in domestic disturbanceMIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Miami Mayor Joe Carollo was being questioned at Miami police headquarters Wednesday after police responded to a domestic disturbance call at his home in Coconut Grove. Police spokesman Bill Schwartz told CNN that a call asking for assistance came in at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday. He said he did not know who made the call. Carollo and his wife, Maria, are being questioned separately. "Our domestic violence policy is to question both parties before we can make a determination as to whether charges will be filed," Schwartz said. A spokeswoman for Miami-Dade courts said the mayor's wife filed for divorce in November. Schwartz said he does not know if the couple is separated, or if any of their children were home when the call was made. RELATED SITES:
