Congress takes on 'spam'NEW YORK (CNNfn) - A House committee on Thursday scaled back legislation that aims to curb junk e-mail, or "spam," cutting out provisions that would allow consumers to sue companies that ignored requests to be taken off their mailing lists.
That was also a major topic this week at SpamCon, an anti-spam conference in San Francisco, and Ted Gavin of Nachman Hays Consulting was one of the presenters.
