Crystal Mikula is accused of choking a flight attendant. Cynthia Mikula is accused of hitting two flight attendants and the plane's captain. The fighting allegedly began after the crew tried to quiet the sisters' loud argument.

The indictment filed Friday charges both 22-year-old women with interfering with the crew of United Airlines Flight 857 on April 19. If convicted, the identical twins could face up to 20 years in prison.

The disruption caused the aircraft to be diverted to Anchorage and the flight did not resume until the next day.

Both women remain in custody. The judge has required both of their parents to accompany the sisters back to Michigan.
