NEW YORK (CNN) -- A teen actor on the popular television program "The Sopranos" was indicted with two others Friday on a second-degree robbery charge, police said.

Robert Iler, 16, was arrested in July. He will be arraigned later this month and will face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Iler is also under indictment for unlawful possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a pipe. Under this charge, he is subject to a maximum fine of $100.

New York police said the victims were robbed of $40 in the area of East 75th Street and York Avenue on July 3rd of this year.

A police statement said two people told authorities they had been robbed by four males. Police canvassed the area and located four individuals who fit the description given by the complainants.

Also indicted on charges of robbery were Michael Cournede, 19 -- who is also charged with misdemeanor possession of a box cutter, punishable by up to one year in jail -- and Alban Selimaj, 16. A third juvenile, 15, who was not identified, will be tried in Family Court.

Iler plays Anthony Soprano, Jr., or AJ, the son of mob boss Tony Soprano, on the popular HBO series. In the past season, the character faced the prospect of attending military school after he was caught vandalizing a swimming pool and stealing a geometry exam from his school.
