A bomb or a blast?'Pearl Harbor': Our critics weigh in
(CNN) -- It may be the most eagerly awaited blockbuster of the summer. At the very least, it's the first eagerly awaited blockbuster of the summer. "Pearl Harbor" has epic battle sequences, epic romance, epic length -- three hours -- and an epic budget. But does the $140 million film deliver? Is it a war movie up there with "From Here to Eternity," "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo," or "Tora Tora Tora"? Or is it simply just a lavish, overlong video game with a few love scenes thrown in?
